Tied House Brewing, FireHouse Brewing, and Better Beer Blog are proud to present our 2nd annual Meet the Brewers festival as part of San Francisco Beer Week. (Waiting for the applause to finish...)
Last year, we had a whole roast pig, tons of great barbecue, sausages, and meaty goodness, and called ourselves 'Meat' the Brewers.
This year, we are highlighting all those delicious mobile eats that everyone has been talking about. Move over L.A., these trucks started right here in Silicon Valley and the Peninsula.
So what to call this year? How about: Meet the Brewers: Food Truck the Brewers Edition!
(Get it? Clever, huh.)
We cordially invite you, your friends, loved ones, and drinking buddies to join us for an afternoon of local craft beer and soda, and loads of great eats. Here's who will be there (list subject to grow and change):
Breweries:
Campbell Brewing, Devils Canyon, Faultline, FireHouse, Gordon Biersch, Hermitage, Rabbits Foot Meadery, Rock Bottom, Santa Cruz Mountain, Tied House, Uncommon Brewers, and more to come...
Mobile Eats:
Southern Sandwich, MoBowl, BBQ Kalbi, and The Louisiana Territory
Tickets are for unlimited beer tasting ($25), or designated drivers ($5). Bring lots of cash for food. Leashed dogs allowed only outside brewery. Well behaved children welcome.
At the door, tickets will be $30 (Unlimited Beer) and $10 (DD), and we may sell out before then, so get your tickets now!

Strong Women Brew Strong Beer!
SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAIN BREWING HOSTS ALL WOMEN BREW DAY DURING SAN FRANCISCO BEER WEEK
SANTA CRUZ, CA , 2011- STRONG WOMEN BREW STRONG BEER. For the second year in a row, the women of Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing will be hosting an all women brew day on Saturday, February 20, 2011 at the brewery. Beginning at 8am, they will be crushing grain, mashing and sparging, measuring hops and herbs and brewing up a batch of an adapted Belgian style Wit. Nicole Beatie will be doing an Homebrewing demonstration in front of the brewery. They will also offer beer tasting, cheese pairing and answer questions about careers in commercial brewing, brewing practices and homebrewing. Last year they were joined by ten other women but are expecting more this year.
The All Women Brew Day is one of many events that will take place during San Francisco Beer Week. There is no charge to attend. The brew day begins at 8am and ends at 5pm but women are encouraged to join for any part of the day. Women should plan to wear work clothes, closed toe shoes, and dress warmly. The Belgian style Wit will be served at the brewery for several weeks following the event.
